Recorded in Petaluma on February 3rd 2013, at the home of Darin and Jessica Wilson.

This ended up being quite a distinct gig in the series, as the audience was noticeably older than the previous shows... As a result, we planned a slightly different approach and a more acoustic focus to Daniel's set up in particular.

However, just before we went on, we overheard a conversation amongst a sizeable proportion of the crowd name-checking a number of 'difficult' composers from the 20th century - I remember Harry Partch and Stockhausen being mentioned... The surprise of this, after the assumption that we perhaps ought to play more 'gentle' music, led to a particularly joyous and free set, with a whole load of folk-based improv as well as some delicious strangeness.
